Since switching to all natural skincare, I’ve kind of become obsessed with it. I used to only cleanse and moisturize, and now I have more than just 2 steps to my routine. Wildcraft is a brand that I had already seen before at little boutiques in Toronto and they kindly sent me a ton of their products to try out. Since the weather cooled down a bit, it was a great time to switch up my products to add a little more moisture into my skin. I’ve been trying out their products for a month and a half and decided to give you an overview of them! This is a great brand for all green beauty lovers, but also for people who want to get into natural skincare without breaking the bank; their prices are super reasonable.
*Wildcraft is offering you a free 2oz scrub with any online purchase at wildcraftcare.ca cause they’re awesome! Just add your items to the cart including the 2oz scrub and use the code MZ+WILDCRAFT at the checkout* – I’m not making any money off of this code, this is just to give back to you!
Last year was my first try at oil cleansers and I’m now obsessed with them, especially for the cooler months. Although this product is a makeup remover, I actually like using it as my cleanser. What was different about this product is that it isn’t 100% an oil, so it’s a good intro to oil cleansing. I usually like removing my makeup separately, then cleansing with this using a cotton pad. Since it’s half oil-based, it didn’t strip my skin of moisture and the witch hazel was great for healing my skin of any blemishes.
I think that this is probably my favourite product of theirs. I’ve tried many exfoliators for my face and I find that coffee and sugar scrubs are too harsh, but I really hate exfoliators that barely scrub my skin (2 little beads in a ton of lotion, no.). I’m obsessed with this scrub for many reasons. Firstly, it’s pink, so that’s a yes. Secondly, it smells like spearmint, so I feel super fresh after using it. This exfoliator is great for scrubbing my skin, but it’s not too harsh, where it makes me break out. Also, it uses apricot kernel shells, rice powder, pink clay, and other good stuff to exfoliate instead of those horrible plastic beads that are polluting our lakes and oceans.
As you might know from my winter skincare routine from last year, I love toner that has rose in it, so this was bound to be a winner! This toner is great for people like me who have oily and breakout-prone skin. When I use my toner, I go to town with it, so I usually sprtized some on my face, and also onto a cotton pad, which I wiped over my skin.
I prefer body butters to oils, but this oil is great before bed because it has a very calming scent. Just like the face serum, it absorbs really well into the skin, so you don’t feel like it’s getting all over your sheets while you sleep!
I’m going to start by saying that I LOVE rich moisturizers; there’s nothing like treating your skin to hydration and glow. I was honestly excited every time I did my skincare because applying this face cream felt like a dream. It’s a very calming and fresh-feeling moisturizer (partly due to its citrus scent). If you’re looking for a rich face cream this fall/winter, I highly recommend trying this one out.
I love this body cream because during the winter, my legs get super dry. I like body creams over lotions because they’re thicker and feel like they’re actually moisturizing my skin. This cream is rich, but not too hard to rub into my skin; it also smells like lemongrass, which makes me feel super fresh when I apply it in the morning.
This is great product to have on-hand for any issues like dry skin, chapped lips, or even to tame frizzy hair. I just throw it in my purse so I can take it out any time. It also smells super fresh, which I love.
To be honest, I didn’t see any life-changing differences when using this serum, however, if you want to add some extra hydration in your skin, this is a great gentle serum. It absorbs really well into the skin, so you don’t feel oily for hours after using it. I usually like adding it to my moisturizer and then applying it to my skin.
All in all, I loved trying out the whole Wildcraft skincare line. There’s something that makes me feel so great about supporting local companies that also use local ingredients. I definitely recommend trying out this line if you’re in the market for some new skincare
